Home Remedies for Dry Scalp
Do you feel itching, dryness or sensitivity in the head? We give you the best remedies to calm the effects of irritation on the scalp.
The scalp is irritated more frequently than we think and is characterized both by presenting an annoying itch and by noticing a higher sensitivity. Summer is the time in which we must take more care, since having it humid for a longer time to relieve excessive heat, the pores open and irritations are greater. Other causes that also cause it are usually the dyes or the abuse of the horsetail. If you have an irritated scalp, do not miss the home remedies that we show you. They’ll ease the discomfort in no time!
Lemon against itching
Lemon has many aesthetic and beneficial uses for health, and among them, we find the ability to calm the itching caused by irritation of the scalp. You just have to squeeze a lemon and apply it directly to the scalp after washing it. Give yourself a massage very carefully and let it rest. A couple of minutes later, rinse it well.
If your problem stems from dryness, we have a perfect remedy for you. Add two drops of peppermint oil to a full cup of water and pour it onto your scalp before washing. As in the previous case, massage carefully and let it rest for a couple of minutes. When this time is up, wash your hair with a shampoo that is not aggressive.
The properties of vinegar allow us to alleviate all the effects of irritation. In a cup, combine four parts of water with one part of apple cider vinegar, since it is much softer. Move it around a bit, apply it to the scalp and massage.
Combination of oils
If your irritation comes along with a dandruff problem, mix olive oil, tea tree oil, coconut oil, and almond oil in equal parts. To avoid applying more than necessary, gradually separate your hair and add the mixture with the help of a brush, so that the entire scalp is covered. Once you have it, give yourself a little massage, and then wash your hair. You will notice how the discomfort diminishes immediately.
