5 natural treatments to get rid of back acne

To end acne in the back area we must resort to ingredients that help us eliminate bacteria and allow us to control excess sebum. Back acne is an aesthetic problem characterized by the appearance of black or white pimples, composed of sebum residues, dead cells and other impurities that are retained on the surface of the skin.

It is a common condition in teenage, although it can also affect some adults due to lack of control in the activity of the sebaceous glands and other factors.

While there are many conventional treatments that can help combat it, some choose natural solutions that provide similar long-term effects without the use of so many chemicals.

1. Sea salt and lavender for back acne:

The compounds contained in sea salt help balance sebum production on the back to minimize the formation of acne pimples.

This, combined with the antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect of lavender, helps us to keep the skin clean, smooth and without blemishes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon and a half of sea salt (15 g).
  • 1 teaspoon of lavender oil (5 g).
  • Water (the amount needed).

Preparation:

  • Pour the sea salt into a bowl.
  • Mix it with the lavender oil and a little water (just a little splash).
  • Stir with a spoon and make sure you get a grainy paste.

How to apply:

  • Apply the mixture on the skin of the back, using gentle circular massages.
  • Let the mixture settle for about 10 minutes and rinse with water.
  • Repeat its use at least 3 times a week.

2. Chickpea flour and honey:

Homemade cream of chickpea flour and honey allows us to exfoliate the skin, remove dead cells and all the fatty residues that clog the pores. Therefore, it is a perfect mixture to help reduce acne on the back.

Its regular use promotes the balance of the sebaceous glands and, in turn, prevents the formation of spots. It also helps conceal scars.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of chickpea flour (30 g).
  • 5 tablespoons of honey (50 g).

Preparation:

Form a thick paste by combining the chickpea flour with the honey.

How to apply:

  • Spread the preparation over all the affected skin
  • Let it act for about 20 minutes
  • After this time, rinse with warm water and do circular massages to exfoliate while removing the product
  • Use it 2 or 3 times a week.

3. Mint:

The refreshing properties of mint help to minimize excess sebum on the skin, therefore, this plant can be used to control acne on the back. Its use, as a tonic, helps to conserve the natural humidity of the area and prevents the complications of this skin problem.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh mint leaves.
  • Water (necessary).

Preparation:

  • Crush the mint leaves in a mortar and extract their liquid.
  • Add an equal part of water and mix until obtaining a homogeneous product.

How to apply:

  • Apply the tincture to the acne-affected area.
  • Let it act for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with cold water and repeat its use 3 times a day.
  • Repeat the treatment daily for good results.

4. Clove oil and jojoba oil:

Clove oil’s antimicrobial properties help remove bacteria from the skin’s surface to prevent chronic acne. Its active compound, eugenol (1), provides a protective effect that, among other things, deflates the pimples.

Jojoba oil, meanwhile, is easily absorbed through the pores and helps regulate sebum production.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon and a half of clove oil (15 g).
  • 1 and a half cups of jojoba oil (150 g).

Preparation:

Combine the oils in a container, until they are well integrated.

How to apply:

  • Dampen a piece of cotton with the product and apply it to the acne pimples on your back.
  • Let it absorb. Do not rinse.
  • Repeat its use 2 times a day.
  • Perform the treatment daily to get results.

5. Plain yogurt:

The lactic acid in plain yogurt is an excellent component to regulate the natural pH of the skin, eliminate fat residues and, incidentally, inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup plain, unsweetened yogurt (100 g).

How to apply:

  • Apply the mixture over your back.
  • Let it act for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Use it 3 times a week.

Back acne has a solution

Remember that, in addition to the treatments mentioned here, if you consider that you suffer from acne on your back, you should visit your dermatologist. The professional will indicate what are the best measures to treat your problem.

On the other hand, keep in mind that home acne treatments do not have immediate effects. Therefore, if you opt for them, you must be consistent in their use and have a little patience to get the results you want.
