  • Unable to eat properly and is losing weight

Doctors generally prescribe a low-dosage course of medication which would last for a fortnight. This dosage is gradually increased till hiccups are got rid of.

The dosage and the course would depend on factors like patient’s general health, age and the severity of hiccups.
