How to get rid of cellulite in the thighs

1. Salmon:

Salmon is rich in antioxidants, which cut down the fat cells in cellulite. For smooth skin and tissue, our body requires omega-3 fatty acids that are present in salmon.

Omega-3 fatty acids play a major role to reduce appetite(1) and low-level inflammation as well as repair and strengthen skin tissues. This, in turn, reduces the build-up of harmful toxins in blood vessels and improves circulation.

Try to eat four to five servings of salmon per week. To promote cellulite reduction, option for baked or roasted salmon dishes and avoid the deep-fried versions.

2. Seaweed

Seaweed is a natural exfoliating agent, seaweed stimulates blood circulation, improves skin texture and flushes out the harmful toxins from the body. This helps in turn to reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Mix three tablespoons of ground seaweed (available at health stores), one-fourth cup each of sea salt and extra-virgin olive oil, and a few drops of any kind of essential oil together. Massage an adequate amount of this mixture on the affected area for 10-15 min before taking a shower. After showering, gently apply moisturizer. Follow this remedy at least once in daily for a couple of weeks. You can also store the excess mixture in a mason jar for future use.

Alternatively, you can also take seaweed baths to reduce cellulite. Just add four sheets of seaweed to your bathtub filled with lukewarm water. Soak in it for 20-30min. Repeat this procedure twice a week for the maximum benefit.

3. Green clay

Green clay is considered highly effective for reducing cellulite. Because It has the ability to stimulate blood and lymph circulation, also removes dead skin cells, absorbs impurities and fats, and repair and strengthens connective tissues.

Mix one-half cup of green clay and one-half cup of seaweed, one-quarter cup of freshly squeezed lime juice, three tablespoons of hot water, and one tablespoon of organic honey to form a thick and smooth paste.

  • Rub the mixture/paste onto the affected area using circular motions, and then cover it with plastic wrap.
  • Leave it on for 25-30 min, and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat this treatment on a weekly basis until you get the desired result.

4. Coffee grounds

Coarse coffee grounds the best way to as use as an exfoliating scrub to remove dead skin cells and also helps in regenerate new and healthy cells. Also, drinking coffee will help increase blood circulation in the body.

Add One-fourth cup of coffee grounds, three tablespoons of sugar and two tablespoons of melted coconut oil and mix all these together to form a paste. Take a little bit of this paste and massage it on the affected skin with it for several minutes using firm pressure. Finally, wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this remedy two to three times a week until you get the desired results. You can also store the excess in a glass jar for future use.

Also, you can prepare a wrap with coffee and olive oil. Now heat one-half cup of coffee grounds and a little extra-virgin olive oil in the microwave for 20 seconds. Spread out the warm mixture on the cellulite and cover it with plastic wrap. Leave it on for 30 min, and then wash it off with warm water. Repeat this twice a week until you see improvement.

5. Juniper oil

Juniper oil has detoxifying properties that help to reduce fluid retention, thus effectively reducing the appearance of cellulite.

  • Mix 10-15 drops of juniper oil in 1/4 cup of olive oil.l
  • Massage the mixture on the affected area for 10 min.
  • Do this twice a day. After a month, you will notice your skin is softer and firmer.
