Top Healthiest Fruits for Health and Skin

Who doesn’t love beautiful and healthy skin? If you have got it, flaunt it. We all have one ir the other favourite face cream or treatment. But real nourishment and glow come from within.

1. Papaya:

Papaya is a great skin smoother and nourisher. A small papaya contains 300% of the recommended daily intake of Vit C. It also has Vit E, antioxidants like Beta Carotene, Phytonutrients and Flavonoid that prevents the cell from free radical damage. It also contains a high amount of fibre which is essential to keep our gut and digestion system on track.

To get that instant glow for a party you can mix:

  • 2tbs papaya pulp
  • ½ tbs honey
  • 2 drops of lemon

Mix them well and apply it on the face for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash off with normal water to say hello to glowing cheeks.

2. Guava:

This fruit is rich in Vit A, C, and antioxidants like carotene and lycopene, which is an anti-aging substance itself. Guava has an important nutrient named manganese which helps the body to absorb other nutrients. We can make a nice smoothie or sharbat from this as it contains 80% of water.

To improve skin complexion and texture it can be used as a mild scrub.

For this, we would recommend pink guava pulp. Give a nice massage to your skin for 3 to 5 minutes and wash off with normal tap water to say hello bump-free velvety nose.

3. Avocado:

This fruit is loaded with Vit E and C. Now Vit E is more effective when its taken along with Vit C . This boosts collagen and protects the skin from sun damage. It has nourishing antioxidants like B Carotene, Lysine and Linolenic Acid. 

For hectic day’s quick-fix take:

  • 1tbs Avocado pulp 
  • 1tbs Cucumber juice

Mix them well and put it on your face for 20 minutes. Wash off to say hello to nourished skin as if you had 8 hours of sleep and had gallons of water.

4. Mango:

In India, we call it the king of fruits. This pulpy tasty baby has Vit A, C, E, B6 as well as Fibre, Potassium and Copper. Did you know that according to many food experts mango peels do not have to be thrown away?

Ample amount of fibrous quality of mango peel makes it a great metabolism booster, thus improves digestion quality. However, mango peels are bitter in taste and has a rough texture which makes it difficult to chew. So, the choice is yours 

To say goodbye to flaky dry hands we can make an excellent hand scrub by using:

  • 1tbs Mango pulp
  • ½tbs Baking soda
  • ¼ tbs Olive oil
  • ½ tbs Honey

Apply it as a pack on hands and let it sit for a while. Start massaging when it gets a bit dry and wash to say hello to silky soft fresh hands.

5. Banana:

This humble fruit is available pretty much throughout the year. This is one of the most consumed fruits on the planet. Health freaks and gym-goers are its lovers. There are 1000+ varieties of banana in the whole wide world.

It contains Vit B6, Potassium, Magnesium, Tryptophan, Fibre, Antioxidants and has 1mg of Sodium. Its natural sweetener and energy booster too. Banana can make an excellent hair mask for lifeless hair.

  • 1 Mashed ripe banana
  • 4 tbs Curd
  • 2 tbs Honey 

Let it do its wonder on every strand of hair for at least 30 minutes. Wash off with shampoo to say hello to lustrous hair. 

6. Pineapple:

Pineapples are delicious, aren’t they? Pineapple is rich in Alpha Hydroxy Acids(AHAs) which can boost the production of collagen and slow down your skin ageing. It is full of Vitamins like B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and C, Manganese, Copper, Potassium, Beta Carotene, Folic Acid and fibres. If you really want to take its full advantage consume it in juice form. 

Pineapple can be a good body exfoliator. Cut a slice into two. While showering, rub this slice as if you rub a loofah. You will notice less bumpy skin.

Another way to make a body scrub is to mix pineapple pulp with sea salt. Wash your body to feel as if you just had a salon time. 

7. Strawberries:

These red tiny creatures are rich in Polyphenols and Antioxidants which are heart-healthy and prevent various forms of cancer. This has Vit C which promotes heart health and fibre aids digestion and weight loss. 

Strawberries can be a great teeth polisher. Just crush some ripe strawberries into pulp and brush with this pulp along with your normal toothpaste. Please do not do it more than twice in a fortnight and say hello with your sparkling smile.
